What this site is

A cited-figures site: every number traces to a named primary source (a peer-reviewed study, a government dataset, a registry's own published count) with a retrieval date and a verification status. Where a figure is computed from sources, the computation is described on the figure's page. Where no source exists for a question the site says so rather than filling the gap.

Not veterinary advice, and not a breed verdict

Nothing here is veterinary, medical, or behavioural advice about any individual dog. Breed-level life expectancy and cause-of-death figures come from clinic and insurance populations, not from all dogs, and describe groups, not your animal. Bite figures are reports per licensed dog in one city with self-reported breed labels; they are not evidence that any individual dog or breed is dangerous, and this site takes no position on breed-specific legislation.

Corrections

Figures that fail to reproduce are corrected on the page with a note, never silently. Send corrections with the source you checked against.
